The Family Health & Wellbeing Consortium is a membership organisation providing a structure to support partnership and multi-agency working across members to deliver commissioned and grant funded services throughout Lancashire and the North West.
Ultimately the work of the Consortium benefits children, families and adults of all ages in the local community in Lancashire and the North West.
Delivery of provision, through our member organisations, is taking place in some of the most deprived communities with a focus on vulnerable residents within those communities including;
- The long term unemployed
- Lone parents
- Carers and their families
- Victims of domestic violence
- People requiring long term care
- People with disabilities
- People with mental health needs
- The homeless
- Offenders and ex-offenders
- Young people, including those not in education, employment or training (NEET)
- Older people
- People affected by substance misuse
The Trustees (who are also the Board of Directors) are elected annually by the membership and are nominated by the member organisations themselves, there are also two independent non-executive directors, one of whom undertakes the role of the Chair.
The Family Health & Wellbeing Consortium currently has representation on the Transformation Plan for Health and Social Care across Lancashire, Lancashire Reducing Re-offending Board, The Pennine Lancashire Community Safety Tactical Leads Group, The BwD Health and Well-Being Board, The BwD Childrens Partnership Board.
